Pastor Charlie was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He and his wife Linda were married August 29, 1969 in West Memphis, Arkansas. They have two children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pastor Charlie has been in the ministry over 45 years. He surrender to the minister in March,1976 in Corning, Arkansas.

He attended the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, Arkansas, Oxford Baptist Seminary and also the Mid-South Baptist Institute in Bogalusa, Louisiana.

He has served congregations in Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana and Texas. Pastor Charlie also planted churches in Somerville, Tennessee, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Hooks Texas and LifeBridge Baptist Church of Deer Park, Texas. Pastor Charlie and Linda started LifeBridge in their home with 7 other people. After serving as a pastor for LifeBridge for 11 years, he felt the need to start Abundant Life, a ministry to the unchurched. In January, 2019 he accepted the call to go back to Calvary Baptist Church of Sherman Texas we're he had pastored in 2000-2003. In December, 2021 he and Linda moved to Farmerville, Louisiana to returned to the Abundant Life ministry. They bought the Edgewood Pnatation that will be used in the Abundant Life ministry. He served on the Arkansas State Missionary Committee. He helped organize the Tennessee State Missionary Baptist Association, and served as the association’s first moderator.

He was the founder of Worldwide Missionary Service, a ministry that served missionaries throughout the world.

He was also one of the founding directors and president of Reach America, Inc. A ministry that assisted with Church Planting efforts throughout America.

Pastor Charlie helped develop two projects for the Baptist SundaySchool Committee in Texarkana: “The Jerusalem Priority” and “Chosen”. These two ministries assist churches in reaching the un-churched within their local communities.

He has lead out in many Evangelist Out-Reaches for the American Baptist Association and also the Missionary Baptist Association of Texas.

He is also the founder of ABA-News which is an internet announcement service used by over 2000 churches, pastors, missionaries and others to help keep people informed as to current events of the American Baptist Association.

Pastor Charlie served as Chaplain for the Sherman Police Department and also the Deer Park Police Department.

He served as Chaplin for Pasadena Strawberry Festival (San Jacinto Day Foundation) and was on the Board for many years.

Charlie resigned as pastor in 2021 to resume the Reach America ministry that they started in 2007. They moved to Farmerville, Louisiana where they are enjoying sharing Jesus Christ with the unchurched.

Charlie and Linda’s desire is to glorify God by sharing the love of Jesus Christ and ministering to the needs of others.
